I stole some of my brother Mike's. They seem to lose paint quite easily but will still work for me.

Sorry, some of us have to work to support our wives and kids.

Besides, I have a couple new private honey holes that hold birds on a daily bases.

I think what Phil is saying, there is no need for field mallard decoys if you have goose decoys so save that money and scout instead.

Not that they don't look cool in the spread....:)

So what you are saying Matt is that Phil assumes I have goose decoys???

Yes I do and plenty of them.

I didn't mean for that to sound harsh towards Phil.
I have met him once before and know he is a stand up guy.

I do like having full body mallards in the field spread if I am after ducks.
I was just wondering if the Hardcores were worth the money, if so I was going to add a dozen to my other mallards.

Good point. :)

The Hardcores that I have are decoys I took from Mike. They still look and work ok, it's just that the paint isn't that great. Did you find a good deal on some?

I havent seen their "new" Primos ones. I have seen the Hardcore geese that were selling for $100 a box and wasnt impressed. If you dont like them, for $80 (at Rogers) you could sell em on ebay and no one would know the difference.

FYI - cabelas in Rogers has the GHG full bodys on sale for $199 a doz, which includes the 12 slot bag. I have used these the last couple seasons and they are awesome. Never used the hardcore ducks. One of the guys I hunt with has a bunch of Hardcore goose decoys and they have had paint issues. They are a P.I.T.A.! We have to individually bag each one to maintain what paint is left on them. I think they are going to end up being painted into full body snows.

I give a dorky reply to your honest question and you appologies :) ? You can poke back at me man it's all good .

Anyways. My honest opinion? Ummmm... Not sure about the Hard cores. They have a bad reputation. I bought the GHG harvester pack of full body mallards last year. They're holding up so far but I only used'em a few times. I wont be spending any more money on full body mallards. Just aint worth it. From here on out I'll maybe buy a doz or two GHG Mallard shell deec's on the motion stakes. Deffinately not a priority though cause I use the spinners to put the birds exactly where I want them.
